LENDAGER EMPLOYEE WINS PRIZE ON HOW TO REALIZE THE SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT GOALS

A thousand young talents from 129 countries was last week invited to participate in UNLEASH Lab 2017 in Aarhus with the purpose of finding innovative solutions on how to realize the Sustainable Development Goals.

Monday the 21st of August the winners of the competition were found. We were happy to see one of our colleagues, Nicholas Ransome, on the winning team in the Urban Sustainability category together with other young talents from France, Australia, Nigeria and Denmark. Since 50 percent of all landfill in the world comes from building waste, the international team focused on how to recycle materials when building. To solve one of the challenges related to urbanization the team designed a concept of Demolition for Design, creating an ecosystem for building waste.

At Lendager Group we also had the opportunity to display a portion of our exhibition WASTELAND at the UNLEASH opening event, as well as Anders Lendager giving a keynote about our approach to circularity in the built environment.

We’re incredibly happy to be part of this global movement towards a sustainable future.
