At LENDAGER ARCHITECTS we are always craving new knowledge in the field of sustainable architecture and sustainability in general.

One Friday each month the office gather up for guest lectures and casual discussions. Last Friday our office had a visit from the inspiring Robert B. Peña who gave us a lecture on the Bullitt Center, Seattle – A state of the art high-performance building. We are really quite amazed!

Robert B. Peña is an Associate Professor in the Department of Architecture at the University of Washington where he teaches architectural design studios and environmental control systems courses with an emphasis on ecological design and high-performance buildings. Rob has been a member of the architecture faculty at Cal Poly San Luis Obispo, the University of Oregon, and Montana State University, and a visiting instructor at the University of California, Berkeley. Rob is the former director of Ecological Design Consulting for Van der Ryn Architects and the Ecological Design Institute in Sausalito, California. Rob received a Master of Architecture from the University of California, Berkeley, and a Bachelor of Science in Architectural Engineering from the University of Colorado, Boulder.
