Common space on the waterfront
A new district is emerging at Stejlepladsen, a development area in the former industrial harbor of Sydhavn that is leading the way in circular urban development.
Following the new housing development, a new shared Resource House is being constructed as a central hub for both the local community and visitors to the area.
Situated facing the harbor, the building will become a natural destination for walks and cycling trips along the waterfront.

The varied aesthetic of the neighborhood—characterized by diverse building structures and facade materials—is integrated into the community house, serving as a focal point for the entire site. The facades will feature openings with hatches and “flaps” that can open and close to signal whether the house is open to the public.
